Abstract:
Disclosed are a display device and a method for operating same. A display device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a memory; a battery; and a processor that communicates with the memory. The processor can: generate an adapter characteristic profile; set the operation range of an adapter on the basis of the adapter characteristic profile; detect the voltage and current levels of the adapter to calculate the power consumption of the display device; and perform a first control operation on the charging current level for the battery when the calculated power consumption is less than the set rated output of the adapter.
