Abstract:
The present invention provides a display device which has high display quality. The display device has: multiple light-emitting devices, each having a pixel electrode, a light-emitting layer, a functional layer, a common layer, and a common electrode in said order; and an insulating layer positioned between side surfaces of adjoining light-emitting layers. The light-emitting layer and the functional layer are disposed in the shape of an island for each of the light-emitting devices, and the common layer is shared by the multiple light-emitting devices. The common layer and the common electrode are disposed so as to cover the insulating layer. In a cross-sectional view, end parts of the insulating layer are tapered at a taper angle of greater than 0 degree but less than 90 degrees. Each of the multiple light-emitting devices has a first light-emitting material for emitting blue light and a second light-emitting material for emitting light having a longer wavelength than that of the blue light. Coloring layers are disposed so as to overlap with each of the multiple light-emitting devices.
