Abstract:
This display device comprises: a first region wherein a plurality of pixels is disposed, that comprises an organic insulation layer, a first inorganic insulation layer, and a second inorganic insulation layer; and a second region into which the organic insulation layer, the first inorganic insulation layer, and the second inorganic insulation layer extend from the first region. The second region further contains a groove section provided in the organic insulation layer, and a protective film disposed to be in contact with the upper surface of the second inorganic insulation layer. The first inorganic insulation layer and the second inorganic insulation layer cover the side surfaces and the bottom surface of the groove section. The protective film overlaps with the upper surface of the organic insulation layer, and the upper end sections and a part of the side surfaces of the groove section. The ratio of the groove section height over the width of the groove section bottom surface is between 2 and 5 inclusive.
