Abstract:
The present technology relates to a display device and a speaker device that are capable of outputting a sound from a display surface of a non-self-emitting display panel. Provided is a display device that includes: a display-panel unit containing non-self-emitting display cells; a light-source unit that radiates light onto the display-panel unit from a back surface thereof; and a vibration unit that causes a sound to be output from display surfaces of the display cells by causing constituent members constituting the display-panel unit to vibrate, wherein, by causing vibration members having a prescribed shape and a prescribed color to vibrate, the vibration unit causes the constituent members secured to the vibration members by means of a prescribed securing method to vibrate. The present invention can be applied, for example, to a liquid crystal display device.
