Abstract:
A display device 4 is provided with an input unit 11 for inputting a detection signal S from a detection unit 7 capable of detecting the brightness of ambient light around a dimming member 6. The display device 4 is also provided with a control unit 12 which, on the basis of the detection signal S input by the input unit 11, controls at least one of the optical transmittance of the dimming member 6 and the operation of a projector 3 to adjust an image projected onto the dimming member 6 to a display state corresponding to the brightness of the ambient light.
