Provided is a display device with an optical sensor included, with which it is possible to implement a scanner function while alleviating increases in memory capacity for images. A display device with an optical sensor included comprises a visible light source and a nonvisible-light light source. The display device with the optical sensor included further comprises: a first optical sensor which detects a degree of received light in a pixel region when the nonvisible-light light source is lit; a second optical sensor which detects the degree of received light in the pixel region when the nonvisible-light light source is not lit; and a third optical sensor which detects the degree of received light reflected from an object to be read, treating only display pixels nearest to the third optical sensor with a prescribed scope in the pixel region as a display state, and treating other pixels in the prescribed range as a non-display state. Data obtained from the third optical sensor is stored in a memory (205) comprising a region (205a) wherein first reference data is stored which is obtained when the nonvisible-light light source is lit, and a region (205b) wherein second reference data is stored which is obtained when the nonvisible-light light source is not lit.
