Abstract:
A display device, relating to the technical field of display, and for use in improving the display effect of a liquid crystal display. The display device comprises a first display structure (20), a second display structure (30), and a backlight module (10); the first display structure (20) comprises first pixels (22) arranged in an array; the first pixels (22) are divided into multiple dimming areas (21); each dimming area (21) comprises at least one first pixel (22); the first display structure (20) is used for adjusting, according to an image that needs to be displayed in a next frame by the second display structure (30), the transmittance of the dimming areas (21) to light emitted by the backlight module (10). In this way, local dimming can be achieved by means of the dimming areas (21) in the first display structure (20); because the first display structure (20) comprises multiple first pixels (22) and each dimming area (21) comprises at least one first pixel (22), each dimming area (21) can be configured to be small, and when the display device needs to display a high-resolution image, the dimming areas (21) can achieve high-precision and high-contrast display, thereby effectively improving the display effect.
