Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technology for dealing with roughness or fineness in scanning line intervals generated when applying a foveated rendering technology. The present disclosure provides a display device comprising a laser beam source unit that emits a laser beam to be used to form an image by means of scanning and a laser beam source drive unit that drives the laser beam source unit, wherein: the laser beam source unit is configured to be able to emit two or more laser beams having beam sizes differing from one another or is configured to be able to emit two or more laser beams and to switch the number of emitted laser beams; and the laser beam source drive unit modifies the laser beams emitted from the laser beam source unit in accordance with a scanning line interval if two or more non-resonant axial direction scanning speeds differing from one another are used within a drawing area of one frame of an image.
