A display device (1) according to the present disclosure is provided so as to be able to switch between a first display mode (4) and a second display mode (5) in which the display formats of content information and output information are different. A first frame line (51) having a shape that corresponds to a region where at least the output information is displayed, is displayed in the first display mode (4). When switching from the first display mode (4) to the second display mode (5), the display device (1) reproduces, in order, first transition moving images (61) and second transition moving images (62). In the first transition moving images (61), the brightness of the display content other than the first frame line (51) is reduced while the first frame line (51) is decreased in size toward the approximate center of the screen. In the second transition moving images (62), after the first frame line (51) has decreased in size toward the approximate center of the screen, a plurality of second frame lines (52) that are similar to the first frame line (51) are continuously displayed so as to gradually decrease in size toward the approximate center of the screen.
