Abstract:
A display drive device and a sub-pixel drive method. The method comprises: converting a color image signal into a grayscale image signal represented by the minimum grayscale and the maximum grayscale (S01); selecting a sub-pixel repeating unit according to a pixel structure, wherein the sub-pixel repeating unit comprises multiple sub-pixels arranged in a row direction (S02); within multiple continuous frame periods, using an internal sub-pixel and an adjacent external sub-pixel in the sub-pixel repeating unit to perform data jitter, so as to convert the grayscale image signal into a rendering image signal, wherein a sub-pixel of the rendering image signal has an equivalent intermediate grayscale generated by data jitter (S03); and using the rendering image signal to drive the multiple sub-pixels (S04). In the method, multiple sub-pixels are used to perform jitter processing within continuous frame periods so as to obtain an equivalent intermediate grayscale, thereby inhibiting the occurrence of a color pseudo-image.
