Abstract:
The present application relates to the field of communications, and in particular, to a packet transmission method and apparatus. The solution can be applied to a communication system that transmits packets by means of dual links. In the method, a first communication module and a second communication module are respectively located on two links, the first communication module is used for receiving a packet from a packet sending end and respectively forwarding the packet to the second communication module and a packet receiving end device, and when the second communication module determines that a first fault related to the first communication module occurs in a packet transmission system, the second communication module sends the packet to a packet receiving end. The first communication module executes a dual-transmission function, so that networking complexity is reduced, and when the first fault occurs, the second communication module replaces the first communication module, thereby improving the reliability of packet transmission.
