Disclosed are a display module and an electronic device, which belong to the technical field of communications. The display module comprises: a first substrate, a light-shielding layer and a plurality of pixel units, wherein the plurality of pixel units are located between the first substrate and the light-shielding layer. Each pixel unit comprises a first electrode layer, a light-emitting layer and a second electrode layer, wherein the light-emitting layer is located between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer; the first electrode layer is located between the first substrate and the light-emitting layer; and a first through hole is provided in the second electrode layer, the first through hole is arranged opposite the light-emitting layer, a metal connecting line is arranged in the first through hole, and metal connecting lines in the first through holes of any two adjacent pixel units are electrically connected to each other. The light-shielding layer comprises a light blocking area and a light transmitting area, wherein the light blocking area and the first through hole are arranged in a staggered manner, and the light transmitting area is arranged opposite the first through hole.
