Provided are a display panel (10) and a display apparatus (1). The display panel comprises a camera area (101) and a main display area surrounding the camera area (101), the camera area (101) comprising an LED lamp panel (110); a light control layer (120) arranged on the LED lamp panel (110); a diffusion layer (130) arranged on the light control layer (120); a liquid crystal structure layer (140) arranged on the diffusion layer (130); and a groove (1011) extending from the LED lamp panel (110) to the surface of the liquid crystal structure layer (140) that is close to the diffusion layer (130).
