Abstract:
Provided are a display panel and display apparatus, which belong to the technical field of display. The display panel comprises a base substrate, a plurality of first pixels and a plurality of second pixels. The base substrate has a special-shaped display area, and the special-shaped display area is further divided into a special-shaped edge area and a main display area, which are sequentially arranged in a direction away from a special-shaped edge. The first pixels are located in the main display area. The second pixels are located in the special-shaped edge area. When the display panel displays a picture of a target grayscale, the potentials of drive signals which are transmitted to a light-emitting element by pixel circuits that are comprised in second pixels at different distances from a special-shaped edge are different, and are less than potentials of drive signals which are transmitted to the light-emitting element by pixel circuits in first pixels; therefore, the light emission brightness of the second pixels at the different distances from the special-shaped edge can gradually change, and the maximum light emission brightness of the second pixels is less than the light emission brightness of the first pixels. Thus, a rainbow pattern problem caused by uneven pixel arrangement can be alleviated, thereby ensuring a better display effect.
