A display panel (100), an electronic apparatus, and a method for driving the display panel (100). The display panel (100) comprises: a base substrate; a plurality of sub-pixels (PX) arranged in a matrix; and a plurality of data lines (DL) extending in a first direction and a plurality of gate lines (GL) extending in a second direction, wherein the data lines (DL) intersect with the gate lines (GL), at least some sub-pixels (PX) of the plurality of sub-pixels (PX) are divided into a plurality of sub-pixel association groups (AG), and each sub-pixel association group (AG) comprises a plurality of sub-pixels (PX) of the same color which are electrically connected to the same data line (DL). The display panel (100) has a first image display mode and a second image display mode. The display panel (100) further comprises an association pixel control circuit, wherein the association pixel control circuit is configured to independently control, in the first image display mode, the energization of a plurality of sub-pixels (PX) of the same color in a sub-pixel association group (AG), and is configured to synchronously control, in the second image display mode, the energization of a plurality of sub-pixels (PX) of the same color, in each sub-pixel association group (AG), which are electrically connected to the same data line (DL).
