A display panel (100) and an electronic terminal. The display panel comprises a substrate (10), an active layer (20) located on the substrate (10), a first electrically conductive layer (30) located on the side of the active layer (20) close to or away from the substrate (10), and a second electrically conductive layer (40) located on the side of the active layer (20) away from the substrate (10), wherein the active layer (20) comprises a trench portion (201), and conductorization portions (202) located on two sides of the trench portion (201), and projections of the trench portion (201) and a gate (301) in the first electrically conductive layer (30) on the substrate (10) overlap with each other; the second electrically conductive layer (40) comprises a source (401) connected to one of the conductorization portions (202); and the source (401) and a drain (50) connected to the other conductivization section (202) are arranged in different layers, and the projections of the source (401) and the gate (301) on the substrate (10) overlap with each other. The projection of the source (401) on the active layer (20) may also overlap on the trench portion (201) to cover a larger part of the active layer (20), reducing the risk of failure of the active layer (20) due to water vapor ingress.
