Abstract:
Provided is a display-panel substrate that can prevent deformation from arising in a display region. Said display-panel substrate (1) is provided with the following: a light-transmitting first glass substrate (10) and second glass substrate (20) (two substrates) that face each other, for fabricating a display panel that displays images; a mark (12) provided between said substrates, outside a region of one of the substrates in which images are displayed; and spacers (11) that are laid out between the substrates, separated from the mark (12) by at least a prescribed distance. This display-panel substrate (1) is characterized by the provision, between the mark (12) and the other substrate that faces said mark (12), of pigmented layers (13) (a support part) that support said other substrate.
