A display substrate, a display device, and a method for preparing a display substrate. The display substrate comprises a light-emitting element arranged on a base, and an encapsulation structure layer arranged on the side of the light-emitting element away from the base. The encapsulation structure layer comprises a first inorganic structure layer, an organic layer, and a second inorganic structure layer, which are sequentially stacked in a direction away from the base. The refractive index of the first inorganic structure layer gradually decreases in the direction away from the base, or, the refractive index of the first inorganic structure layer gradually increases and then gradually decreases in the direction away from the base. The range of variation of the refractive index of the first inorganic structure layer is 1.51 to 1.74, the refractive index of the second inorganic structure layer is greater than 1.74, and the thickness of the first inorganic structure layer is between 0.99 μm and 1.21 μm.
