Provided is a display system capable of achieving weight reduction of a VR goggle and improved visibility. The display system according to an embodiment of the present invention is for displaying an image to a user, said system comprising a display element which has a display surface from which light showing an image is emitted forward via a polarization member, a reflection-type polarization member which is disposed in front of the display element and reflects the light emitted from the display element, a first lens part which is disposed on a light path between the display element and the reflection-type polarization member, a half mirror which is disposed between the display element and the first lens part and which allows the light emitted from the display element to pass therethrough and reflects the light reflected by the reflection-type polarization member toward the reflection-type polarization member, a first λ/4 member which is disposed on a light path between the display element and the half mirror, a second λ/4 member which is disposed on a light path between the half mirror and the reflection-type polarization member, and a protective member which is disposed on the light path between the display element and the half mirror, wherein a space is formed between the protective member and the half mirror, and a 5° regular reflectance spectrum of the protective member in a 420 nm to 680 nm wavelength range has a maximum value of 1.2% or less.
