Abstract:
The present invention provides a display system which enables weight reduction and higher resolution of VR goggles. A display system according to an embodiment of the present invention displays an image to a user, and comprises: a display element that has a display surface for emitting light representing the image forward via a polarizing member; a reflection part that is disposed in front of the display element, includes a reflective polarizing member, and reflects the light emitted from the display element; a first lens part that is disposed on an optical path between the display element and the reflection part; a half mirror that is disposed between the display element and the first lens part, transmits the light emitted from the display element, and reflects the light reflected by the reflection part toward the reflection part; a first λ/4 member that is disposed on an optical path between display element and the half mirror; and a second λ/4 member that is disposed on an optical path between the half mirror and the reflection part. The display system is configured such that the angle formed by the slow axis of the first λ/4 member and the slow axis of the second λ/4 member is 7° or less, or 83°-97°.
