Abstract:
The present invention relates to a disposable endoscope cover which can be installed on and removed from an endoscope that is inserted into the body of a patient or a person to be examined so that the endoscope is not contaminated and a method for installing and removing same, the disposable endoscope cover comprising: an insertion member which is put on the outer surface of an endoscope insertion tube connected to an endoscope main body; and a protective cover which is rolled and unrolled in a ring shape on the outer portion of the insertion member to be overlaid on the endoscope insertion tube throughout the total length. Also, a method for installing and removing a disposable endoscope cover according to the present invention comprises: a step of putting the insertion member, on which the protective cover is rolled as the ring shape, onto the outside of the endoscope insertion tube up to a portion of the endoscope main body to which the endoscope insertion tube is connected; when the insertion member is put on the endoscope insertion tube, a step of overlaying the protective cover on the end portion of the endoscope insertion tube by unrolling the protective cover rolled on the insertion member; when an endoscopy operation is finished while the endoscope insertion tube is covered with the protective cover, a step of overlaying a collecting cover on the outside of the protective cover; and a step of separating the endoscope insertion tube from the main body while the collecting cover is put on the collecting cover, moving the endoscope insertion tube to a washing chamber, and removing the protective cover from the endoscope insertion tube along with the collecting cover.
