Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a disposable self-shielding syringe which can be handled easily with one hand. [Solution] A disposable self-shielding syringe comprising: a syringe provided with at least a syringe main body, a plunger rod, and a needle; a tubular main body; a shielding tube; a circular latch member; and a spring material. A hook portion of the circular latch member catches on a tip of the spring material, thereby compressing the spring material between a flange of the tubular main body and the hook portion of the circular latch member, and exposing the needle disposed in a front part of the syringe main body from the shielding tube. When the shielding tube is drawn toward a rear part of the syringe main body, a latch release portion of the shielding tube pushes out the hook portion of the circular latch member toward the outside of the circular latch member, releasing the hook portion of the circular latch member from the spring material, and the shielding tube moves in a direction to shield the needle by the resilience of the spring material, whereby the needle disposed in the front part of the syringe main body is shielded by the shielding tube.
