Abstract:
To provide a technique for accurately estimating the distance from a plurality of imaging devices to the position of a measurement subject even when the distance between the imaging devices is variable. A distance estimation device is provided with: a first distance estimation means for estimating a first distance, which is the distance between a first imaging device and a second imaging device, the first imaging device imaging first images and the second imaging device imaging second images in a second imaging area that at least partially overlaps a first imaging area imaged by the first imaging device, the second imaging device imaging the second images at a timing synchronized with the timing of imaging by the first imaging device; and a second distance estimation device that, on the basis of the first distance and the correlation between a first position in the first image and a second position in the second image, estimates a second distance, which is the distance between a reference position based on the positional relationship between the first imaging device and the second imaging device and a position in real space corresponding to the first position and the second position.
