Abstract:
This distance-measurement device contains the following: an imaging unit that captures video, generating a consecutive plurality of frame images by capturing subject images that are formed by image-forming optics and represent a subject; an emission unit that emits directional light, i.e. light that exhibits directionality, along the axis of the image-forming optics; a light-receiving unit that receives reflected light consisting of the directional light reflected by the subject; a derivation unit that derives the distance to the subject on the basis of the timing with which the directional light was emitted by the emission unit and the timing with which the reflected light was received by the light-receiving unit; and a storage unit that, when video is captured by the imaging unit, stores, in association with at least one frame image, distance data indicating the distance derived by the derivation unit.
