Abstract:
One purpose of the present disclosure is to provide a distance measurement device capable of expanding a distance measurement range. The present invention is a distance measurement device (1000) comprising: a light-receiving element (104) that can detect single photons and changes an analog output according to the number of photons received at the same time; an extraction unit (106) that extracts a high-frequency component from the output of the light-receiving element; an amplification unit (110) that amplifies the output of the extraction unit; and at least three comparators (a first comparator 111, a second comparator 112, and a third comparator 113) that are supplied with the output of the amplification unit and have different threshold voltages (a first threshold voltage 141, a second threshold voltage 142, and a third threshold voltage 143), wherein the threshold voltage (the third threshold voltage 143) set for a prescribed comparator (the third comparator 113) is a threshold voltage (Vth1) that corresponds to single photon detection for at least a portion of a measurement interval. The distance measurement device (1000) corrects a provisional time difference so as to negate a time walk error.
