Abstract:
This distance measuring device and method therefor find the distance to a measurement object, on the basis of an image captured using at least three first imaging optical systems and an image captured using at least two second imaging optical systems in a compound-eye camera having a plurality of first and second imaging optical systems having different focal lengths. The two second imaging optical systems are arranged such that the baseline lengths thereof are longer than the base line length of two out of the three first imaging optical systems.
