Abstract:
A distributed linear motor (1) comprises a plurality of individual motors (3) which are each capable of functioning as an armature on a primary side of an independent linear motor and are arranged at intervals along the movement path of a movable element (4). A sensor (15) comprising a linear scale for detecting the position of the movable element (4) is provided for each of the individual motors (3). A motor control device (2) comprises: a plurality of individual motor control means (6); and an overall control means (7) for controlling the plurality of individual motor control means (6). Curvature correspondence correction means (9) are provided for the individual motor control means (6) which control the individual motors (3) disposed on curved path sections and correct the detection values of the sensors (15) on the basis of the relationship between the curvature of the path and the positions of the sensors (15).
