Abstract:
A distributed processing apparatus capable of easily changing set data written in a memory (19) in a coin mechanism (1) to be processed, which has no special terminal. In order to change the set data written in the memory (19) in the coin mechanism (1), the coin mechanism (1) is disconnected at a connector (9) from a signal line (8) extending from an automatic vending machine controller (2), and it is connected with a computer (50) through this connector (9). A routine in a program for a CPU (11) in the coin mechanism (1) is then changed in accordance with a special command sent from the computer (50). As a result, the computer (50) is allowed to read the contents of the memory (19) in the coin mechanism (1), and drive the CPU (11) to rewrite the set data in the memory (19).
