Abstract:
Provided in the present invention are a distributed storage system and metadata managing method. The distributed storage system comprises: a metadatabase, a plurality of metadata controllersMDCs and a plurality of resource pools. The metadatabase is used to store the metadata corresponding to the plurality of resource pools. The main MDC in the plurality of MDCs is used to manage a mapping relationship between a resource pool and a backup MDC in the plurality of MDCs stored in the metadatabase. The backup MDC in the plurality MDCs is used to manage the medadata stored in the metadatabase and corresponding to the resource pool having the mapping relationship with the backup MDC. Thereby, the distributed storage system of the embodiment of the present invention can manage a larger-scale storage cluster, realizing fault domain isolation.
