Abstract:
The present technology relates to a distribution device, a distribution method, and a program with which a communication amount can be reduced while maintaining the natural movement of an avatar. This distribution device comprises: a receiving unit that receives first movement information indicating the movement of a user; a distribution unit that distributes, to a terminal which displays an avatar, second movement information indicating the movement of the avatar corresponding to the user; and an adjustment unit that adjusts, according to the first movement information, an information amount of the second movement information to be distributed by the distribution unit. This technology can be applied to, for example, an information processing system that provides an application which causes the movement of a user using a terminal connected via a network to be reflected on an avatar in a virtual space.
