Abstract:
A polynucleotide coding for a protein having lactic acid dehydrogenase activity, which can be used in the production of D-lactic acid; and the above-mentioned protein. Use is made of: (a) polynucleotide having a base sequence of SEQ ID No. 1, or (b) polynucleotide coding for a protein having D-lactic acid dehydrogenase activity, having been hybridized under stringent conditions with a probe prepared from the whole or part of a base sequence of SEQ ID No. 1 or complementary strand thereof.
