Abstract:
This document handling device comprises: a document placement member (2) on which a placement surface (4) is formed; a suction unit (32) on which a suction surface (36) that applies suction to part of a document (41) placed on the placement surface (4) is formed, and which sucks air from a space (34) formed between the document placement member (2) and the suction surface (36); a blower unit (31) which blows air into the space (34); and a paper-feeding unit (12) which conveys a document (41) in the conveying direction (6) along the placement surface (4). The suction surface (36) is inclined with respect to the placement surface (4) in such a manner that the space (34) becomes narrower as the upstream side in the conveying direction is approached.
