Abstract:
Provided is a door closer that can eliminate the need for forming a flow rate regulating channel in a housing and that can be adjusted so that the closing speed of a door is changed within a prescribed angle. A door closer body (1) comprises a housing (2) that has a sealed space (2A) filled with a hydraulic oil, an end plug (27) attached to the housing (2), a piston (13) disposed so as to reciprocate in the sealed space (2A) while being biased by a biasing means (17, 18), and a rotary shaft (3) that is supported in the housing (2). The end plug (27) comprises an extended portion (27B) that is inserted into a through-hole (23A) formed in the piston (13). A flow rate regulating channel (32, 34) that adjusts the flow rate of the hydraulic oil by way of a speed regulating valve (31, 33) is formed in the extended portion (27B).
