Description:
DOOR CLOSURE

Technical Field of the Invention

Invention belongs to the field of civil engineering, and according to the International Patent Classification, it is classified into E05F 3/00 and E05F 5/00, and it refers to the controlled closing of the door with using the mechanical energy of manual opening thereof.

Technical Problem

Technical problem solved with herewith described invention consists in the following: how to solve closing of the door in buildings and other public facilities where due to the frequent passing of the people, automatic closing of the door is desired to achieve reliability and improve the degree of efficiency with minor frictions inside the closure itself with improvement of the costs of production, by using the shaft with excenter whereon wound is a segmented rope that is connected with the main piston and it thrusts the spring wherein accumulated is the potential energy required for closing the door.

State of Art

Generally known constructions of the door closures with the toothed pair and the cam (double arcbimedes spiral, shaped as a cardiod). Disadvantages of the existing constructions are seen in major friction forces inside the mechanism itself that reduces the degree of efficiency (ratio of the moment of closing the door toward the moment of opening it), and the parts of the mechanism itself are complex and therewith more expenssive for production.

Search of the patent documentation and relevant professional works in this field, resulted with no similar solution of herewith set technical problem.

Object of the Invention

Door closure comprises a body wherein are a piston, a spring, a shaft with an excenter, a stopper and a metal segmented rope. Revolving the shaft with excenter winds the metal segmented rope that by means of the spring draws the piston and therewith the spring is thrusted and potential energy is developed. In the reverse process, the spring draws the piston back and therewith comes to the unwinding of the rope on the shaft with excenter whereby the stopper prevents uncontrolled unwinding.

The advantage of herewith expalined invention is in that it reduces the friction forces inside the closure and therewith obtained is a grater degree of efficiency. Moreover, production of the elements of the closure of this type is not so complex, and therewith it is more cost effective.

Short Description of the Figures of the Drawing

Invention is described and represented in details in the drawings where:

Figure 1 - represents an axonometric view of the door closure, Figure 2 - represents a front view of the closure, Figure 3 - represents a cross section B-B from figure 2, and Figure 4 - represents a cross section A-A from figure 2

Description of the Invention

Door closure comprises a bar mechanism 1, of a body 2, wherein there is a shaft (3) - with an excenter - cam whereon is wound a metal segmented rope (4) that is, through a spring (6), connected onto a main piston (5), of a stopper (7), in the form of a piston, and is intended to prevent uncontrolled unwinding of the rope (4). Body (2) is from both sides closed by means of plugs (8) to prevent oil from draining. On the shaft (3) there are two casings (9) with bearings. On the piston (5) and the stopper (7) there are balls (10) of the one-way valve while in the body (2) there are an adjusting screw (11), the gaskets (12) and the valve gaskets (13).

At opening the door by means of the bar mechanism 1 , there comes to the revolvment of a shaft (3) - with an excenter - cam, the segmented rope 4 is wound and it draws the main piston 5 and therewith there comes to the thrust of the spring 6 and accumulation of potential energy in it. In the reverse process, an one way valve D prevents oil from leaking through the main piston 5 but through the channel B, brings the pressure to oil from the stopper 7 which is in permanent contact with excenter - of the cam 3. Therewith prevented is undesired closing of the door. In the case of forced closing of the door, there developed is higher pressure behind the stopper 7 which can be drawn back in the channel B, as it prevents the one way valve D. Decanting of oil is regulated by means of the adjusting screw 11 , that controls leaking of oil through the channel C and therewith releases the shaft with excenter cam 3 from the pressure of the stopper 7. Spring 6 draws the main piston 5, and therewith unwound is the metal segmented rope 4 on the shaft with the excenter - of the cam 3, whereby the bar mechanism closes the door. In the channel A of the adjusting screw 11 is controlled regulation of the speed of returning of the main piston 5.

This new construction of closing the door results with so far improved degree of efficiency, as in this way the main pistn 5 is axially pulled. Therewith, the reliability of closing the door is achieved. Undesired axial radial force of the toothed pair is avoided, as it closes friction between the main toothed piston and body. Upon the multiple cycles with existing solutions there comes to wearing out the body of the closure and the piston where lost is the starting sealing of the piston that causes undesired slamming the door, the solution to which is explained with herewith described solution. Elements: shaft with excenter- of cam 3, segmented rope 4, main piston 5 and stopper 7 that change the toothed pair, are less expensive for production, and can be produced from micro casting whereby the material for production is ecomomized. The mentioned parts requre no special accuracy and, as there is no toothing, the accomplishment of the operations is simple.
