Abstract:
A door handle device for a vehicle has: a handle base (2) affixed to a door (1) of the vehicle; an operation handle (3) rotatably joined to the handle base (2); and a lighting device (6) provided with a light emitting element (5) for emitting light using electricity supplied through a wire harness (4) inserted through the inside of the operation handle (3). A light outlet opening (7) is formed in the operation handle (3) in a wall thereof which faces the ground surface in a state in which the operation handle (3) is mounted to the door (1). The lighting device (6) has formed thereon a lens section (9) for sealing the light emitting element (5) in cooperation with a sealing resin (8) and is affixed to the operation handle (3) by engaging an engaging projection (10) with the light outlet opening (7), said engaging projection having a shape consistent with the shape of the light outlet opening (7).
