Abstract:
A locking device for allowing one to operate a locking device body through a single interlocking cable with an operating handle, wherein a releasing operation of the locking device body with the operating handle can be performed with a light force, and an operation of shifting a locked state to an unlocked state can be surely performed. An operating member for performing locking, unlocking and releasing operations, and switching means for switching between the locked state and the unlocked state are interlocked with each other by an interlocking member provided on the switching means and a guide and a release, both of which are provided on the operating member. Such interlocking relationship is such that when the operating member shifts between the unlocked position and the locked position, the guide pushes the interlocking member to switch the switching means between the unlocked state and the locked state, and that when the operating member shifts between the unlocked position and the release position, the interlocking member is disposed at the release to cut off transmission of a force from the operating member to the switching means.
