Abstract:
In a doorway device for an elevator, a detection device for detecting an object is provided on an elevator door. The detection device has a measurement section for measuring the distance between itself and the object and a processing section electrically connected to the detection section. The measurement section has a light emission section, a lens for focusing reflected light produced when the light from the light emission section is reflected by the object, and a focus position detection section for producing a signal corresponding to the position of the focus point of the reflected light. The processing section determines, based on the signal from the measurement section, the presence or absence of the object in a predetermined detection region.
