Description:
DOUBLE DISC CLUTCH PRESSURE SYSTEM

Technical Field

The invention is related to a double disc clutch pressure system which has been developed in order to prevent the abrasion of the clutch system and to enable both coupling and release actions in clutch systems.

Prior Art

The clutch system which is used to change gears and to shift gear to neutral in cars, is a very complex system. The clutch which is constituted of tens of other parts, forms a very crucial system for a car. One of the parts forming the clutch is the pressure plates. The clutch pressure enables the clutch to be introduced into the disc by scraping of the coupling disc to the flywheel at a high force, wherein the rotation motion of the flywheel is received from the motor. Diaphragm springs are used in such plates. The clutch pressure also called a pressure plate can wear out in time due to friction. It is understood that the pressure plate has been completely worn down when there is difficulty in shifting gears and when the clutch pedal coupling point is increased. In such a case the clutch pressure must be changed in order to ensure the desired level of gear shifting. If the clutch is not changed the driving comfort of the vehicle is completely lost. In the United States patent document numbered US4640400A of the known state of the art, it is mentioned that an automatic abrasion compensation mechanism has been developed for clutches. This mechanism regulates a return position of any of the clutch rear plates or the pressure plates depending on the wearing out of the clutch plate and limits the rotation position of the pressure plate or the intermediate plate. Nowadays it is desired for vehicles, tractors and heavy duty machinery to have higher torque in comparison to before. For this reason it has been necessary to develop a double disc clutch pressure system which has been developed to reduce wearing down of the clutch systems due to friction, and allows carrying out both the coupling and release actions at the same time in clutch systems.

Aims of the Invention

The aim of this invention is to provide a double disc clutch pressure system that allows carrying out both the coupling and release actions at the same time in clutch systems Another aim of this invention is to provide a double disc clutch pressure system which has been developed to reduce wearing down of the clutch systems due to friction.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The double disc clutch pressure system that has been developed in order to reach the aims of the invention has been illustrated in the attached figures.

Figure-1: Is the front schematic view of the double disc clutch pressure system subject to the invention.

The parts in the figures have each been numbered and the references of these numbers have been listed below.

1. Clutch pressure cover,

2. Front plate release latch,

3. Rear plate release latch,

4. Adjusting screw,

5. Input shaft,

6. Suspension bolt,

7. Front plate, 8. Rear plate,

9. Diaphragm spring,

10. Front disc hub,

11. Rear disc hub,

12. Front disc,

13. Rear disc,

14. Drag link

The invention is a clutch pressure system comprising; an adjusting screw (4) that is connected with the drag link (14) which is mounted to the front plate release latch (2) and mounted to the end of the front plate (7) located inside the clutch pressure cover (1),

a suspension bolt (6) having one end mounted to the rear plate (8) and the other end mounted to the front plate release latch (2), located inside the clutch pressure cover (1), which adjusts the height of the rear plate release latch (3),

a diaphragm spring (9) located between the front plate (7) and the rear plate (8) comprising; a front disc hub (10) which moves up and down when the clutch pedal is pressed on, which is located on the input shaft (5),

a rear disc hub (11) which moves up and down when the clutch pedal is pressed on, which is located on the front disc hub (10),

a front disc (12) located between the clutch pressure cover (1) and the front plate (7), having one end connected to the front disc hub (10), rear disc (13) located behind the rear plate (8) and having one end connected to the rear disc hub (11).

The invention comprises a clutch pressure cover (1) which basically enables to transfer the motor power completely and rapidly to the circuit. The invention comprises an adjusting screw (4) which enables to adjust the rear plate release latch (3) height and therefore to couple the front disc (12) and the rear disc (13) simultaneously.

The invention comprises a front disc hub (10) and a rear disc hub (11) which moves down and up when the clutch pedal is pressed on. The input shaft (5) that protrudes out from the transmission box during the motion of the front disc hub (10) and the rear disc hub (11) is fixed and it rotates around itself. As the front disc hub (10) and the rear disc hub (11) have a structure such that they can interlock with each other their mounting to vehicle motors are easy. The invention comprises a diaphragm spring (9) which allows both the front plate (7) and the rear plate (8) to be pressed upon the front disc (12) or the rear disc (13). The primary aim of the diaphragm spring (9) is to ensure that the clutching is kept closed unless the clutch pedal is pressed upon.

The invention comprises a front plate (7) which applies pressure by means of the motion of the diaphragm spring (9) onto the front disc (12) when the clutch is released and a rear plate (8) which applies pressure due to the motion of the diaphragm spring (9) onto the rear disc (13) when the clutch is released.

The coupling and release actions in the developed clutch pressure system are carried out simultaneously by means of the front disc (12) and the rear disc (13). It is aimed to minimize the wearing down of clutch systems by means of the front disc (12) and the rear disc (13).
