CLAIMS
1. A compound fabric with double ace characterized by the fact of being formed by two superposed fabrics with Jacquard designs which are connected with one another by binding wefts which form a third Jacquard design visible on both the faces.
2. A compound fabric with double face as claimed in the preceding claim characterized by the fact that the binding wefts which form the third Jacquard design are the wefts of the lower fabric.
3. A compound fabric as claimed in the preceding claims characterized by the fact that it has two warps and two wefts.
4. A compound fabric according to claims 1 and 2 characterized by the fact that it has more than two wefts.
5. A compound fabric with double face with two weaves characterized by the fact of comprising two superposed fabrics provided with Jacquard designs which, by interlacing, form a third Jacquard design which can be seen on both faces of the fabric.
6. A compound fabric as at the preceding claims characterized by the fact that both the upper warp and the lower one can be indifferently of uniform colour, striped or tartan.
7. A compound fabric as claimed in the preceding claims characterized by the fact that the weft threads of the upper face form a tartan design through the crossing of the warp threads.
8. A compound fabric according to the preceding claims characterized by the fact that the weft threads which bind the fabrics and make the third Jacquard design form also a tartan design by crossing the warp threads.
9. A compound fabric as substantially described and illustrated in the attached exemplifying drawings.
Description:
A DOUBLE FACE COMPOUND FABRIC WITH TWO WARPS AND TWO WEFTS, WITH TREE JACQUARD DESIGNS

The present invention concerns generally a compound fabric that is of the type wherein, differently from the basic interlacing consisting of a single chain (warp) and of a single weft, two or more sets of threads and wefts are used which concur in their weaving for producing the two faces of the fabric.

Specifically the fabric herein described belongs to the family of so called tubular fabrics with four elements that is two warps and two wefts which work as a couple whereby two superposed fabrics are formed and is characterized by the fact that, differeritly from what is presently known, the two superposed fabrics are woven according to a Jacquard design so that interlacing with each other form another Jacquard design different from the other two which is visible on both the faces of the double cloth.

This happens, according the invention herein described, due to the weft threads of the fabric, which is indicated as lower because of its position on the loom. Said weft threads in fact in addition to providing the Jacquard ground design of the lower face, originate the third Jacquard design which appears on both faces by simultaneous binding together the two fabrics.

This invention is illustrated in the

attached drawings wherein:

F±g. 1 shows the upper face of the cloth;

Fig. 2 shows the lower face of the same fabric]

Fig. 3 shows a longitudinal cross section of the double fabric.

With reference to said figures, the double cloth which is the object of this invention shows a face A which comprises a Jacquard texture where two designs appear evidently which are indicated by _ and Q respectively and a face B which comprises a second Jacquard texture with two designs ©< and β .

Obviously said designs are reported as an indication and not a limitation thereof, the purpose of them being of evidencing the presence of a third Jacquard design ( G ) which, interlacing, replaces the Jacquard texture of one and of the other faces of the cloth.

Specifically, with reference to the design herein illustrated j on face A: by Y'a Y a the warp threads are indicated which warp could be of uniform colour, many-colour, or striped. by X'a,....X a the weft threads are indicated which make the Jacquard design of the Flanders type Y at the outside of design © and can also form a tartan design by the interlacing of the warp threads . on face B:

Y-b- . - .Y b are the uniform colour, many-colour or striped warp

X'b....X b are the wefts wherebv the fabrics arc

bound and form a Jacquard as an alternative to designs o< and JO and can also form a tartan design by the crossing of the warp threads.

Thus, in pratice, three Jacquard designs will be obtained in a single fabric, the design o being repeated on both faces.
