Abstract:
The present invention provides a double-layer hollow fiber membrane for enclosing a hollow body through which blood flows and delivering uremic toxins and waste products in the blood to the outside, and a method for manufacturing same. The double-layer hollow fiber membrane comprises a first layer having first pores and a second layer having second pores. The first pores of the first layer and the second pores of the second layer are connected to each other, and the second pores are open pores connected to the outside. The double-layer hollow fiber membrane can remove mid-molecular-sized uremic toxins in the blood while minimizing the loss of blood components and essential proteins due to the pores whose size increases from the first pores to the second pores.
