Description:
DOUBLE-SIDED ADHESIVE FILM AND COOLER FILTER SCREEN ASSEMBLY INCLUDING THE SAME

Technical Field

The present utility model relates to a double-sided adhesive film, in particular to a double-sided adhesive film having a release layer that can be easily tom off.

Background

Generally, double-sided tapes are mostly in a rolled state, and only one side of an adhesive body has a release layer. However, in some special applications, the double-sided tape needs to be cut into segments to facilitate application by a user. In this case, it is necessary to provide release layers on both adhesion surfaces of an adhesive body of a double-sided adhesive film so as to prevent the adhesive body from being soiled and therefore losing adhesiveness.

An air cooler or an air heater is used as an example. The air cooler or the air heater is an air cooling or heating device commonly used. In order to acquire better air quality, the air cooler or the air heater is generally used together with a filter screen. Generally, the filter screen is adhered to a filter screen frame by means of a double-sided tape or an adhesive sheet. However, since a non-woven fabric is made of a special material, the double-sided tape, the adhesive sheet, or the double-sided adhesive film adhered to a non- woven filter screen cannot be easily separated from a release layer thereof, such that it is difficult to tear off the same from the release layer. Moreover, the structure of a non- woven filter screen may even be damaged when the release layer needs to be tom off.

Summary

On this basis, the present utility model provides a double-sided adhesive film having a release layer that can be easily removed without causing, to the structure of an object to be bonded, damage when the release layer is tom off.

In order to achieve the aforementioned objective, the present utility model provides a double-sided adhesive film, comprising: a first release layer and a second release layer, each comprising a first edge and a second edge; and an adhesive body, sandwiched between the first release layer and the second release layer, and having a first end portion and a second end portion; wherein the first edge of the first release layer and the first edge of the second release layer are substantially aligned with each other, the first end portion of the adhesive body is recessed inwardly relative to the respective first edges of the first release layer and the second release layer, the second edge of the first release layer and the second end portion of the adhesive body are substantially aligned with each other, and the second edge of the second release layer protrudes outwardly relative to the second edge of the first release layer and the second end portion of the adhesive body.

In an embodiment of the present utility model, a release force of the first release layer relative to the adhesive body is greater than a release force of the second release layer relative to the adhesive body.

In an embodiment of the present utility model, the adhesive body further comprises a substrate, and two opposite sides of the substrate are coated with an adhesive agent.

In an embodiment of the present utility model, the first release layer comprises a second tear-off mark, and the second release layer comprises a first tear-off mark.

In an embodiment of the present utility model, the adhesive body is an acrylic adhesive.

In an embodiment of the present utility model, the second edge of the first release layer and the second end portion of the adhesive body each comprise at least one rounded comer.

In an embodiment of the present utility model, the width of the second end portion of the adhesive body is equal to the width of the second edge of the first release layer, and is greater than the width of the first end portion of the adhesive body.

In order to achieve the aforementioned objective, the present utility model further provides a cooler filter screen assembly, comprising a non-woven filter screen and any one of the aforementioned double-sided adhesive films.

In the double-sided adhesive film provided by the present utility model, the release layer thereof can be easily removed, and therefore the structure of an object subjected to adhesion is not damaged when the release layer is tom off.

Description of Reference Numerals

Detailed Description

In order to more clearly illustrate the features, contents, and advantages of the present utility model and the effects that can be achieved thereby, the present utility model is now described with reference to the accompanying drawings in detail below in the form of embodiments. In addition, the accompanying drawings used are merely for illustration and auxiliary description. Therefore, the proportion and configuration relationship of the attached drawings should not be used to interpret or limit the scope of protection of the present utility model.

Referring to FIG. 1, FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a double-sided adhesive fdm according to a first embodiment of the present utility model. As shown in FIG. 1, the double-sided adhesive film 1 includes a first release layer 11, an adhesive body 13, and a second release layer 15, and each of these layers is a thin layer. The adhesive body 13 is sandwiched between the first release layer 11 and the second release layer 15. Two opposite sides of the first release layer 11 in a lengthwise direction are respectively a first edge 111 and a second edge 112. Two opposite sides of the second release layer 15 in a lengthwise direction also respectively have a first edge 151 and a second edge 152. Two opposite sides of the adhesive body 13 in a lengthwise direction respectively have a first end portion 131 and a second end portion 132. The respective first edges 111 and 151 of the first and second release layers 11 and 15 are adjacent to the first end portion 131 of the adhesive body 13, and the respective second edges 112 and 152 of the first and second release layers 11 and 15 are adjacent to the second end portion 132 of the adhesive body 13.

Still Referring to FIG. 1, in this embodiment, the respective first edges 111 and 151 of the first and second release layers 11 and 15 are substantially aligned with each other, and the first end portion 131 of the adhesive body 13 is substantially recessed inwardly relative to the respective first edges 111 and 151 of the first and second release layers 11 and 15. In other words, the first end portion 131 is spaced apart from the respective first edges 111 and 151 of the first and second release layers 11 and 15 by a distance. The second edge 112 of the first release layer 11 is substantially aligned with the second end portion 132 of the adhesive body 13. The second edge 152 of the second release layer 15 substantially protrudes outwardly relative to the second edge 112 of the first release layer 11 and the second end portion 132 of the adhesive body 13. That is, the second edge 152 extends outwards by a distance relative to the second edge 112 of the first release layer 11 and the second end portion 132 of the adhesive body 13.

In this embodiment, the thicknesses of the first and second release layers 11 and 15 are not limited, and may specifically be the thickness of a release film generically used in a double-sided tape. Materials of which the first and second release layers 11 and 15 are made are also not limited. For example, the material may be a PET film, a PE film, an OPP film, or the like coated with a release agent. Preferably, a release force of the first release layer 11 relative to the adhesive body 13 is greater than a release force of the second release layer 15 relative to the adhesive body 13. In other words, it is easier to separate the second release layer 15 from the adhesive body 13 than to separate the first release layer 11 from the adhesive body 13. The thickness of the adhesive body 13 is also not limited. A material of which the adhesive body 13 is made may be an acrylic adhesive or another adhesive that can serve as a double-sided adhesive agent or adhesive sheet. In this embodiment, the adhesive body 13 is an acrylic adhesive sheet not including a substrate. However, this embodiment is not limited thereto.

Still referring to FIG. 1, since the respective first edges 111 and 151 of the first and second release layers 11 and 15 are substantially aligned with each other, but the first end portion 131 of the adhesive body 13 is recessed inwardly relative to the two, since the second edge 112 of the first release layer 11 and the second end portion 132 of the adhesive body 13 are substantially aligned with each other, but the second edge 152 of the second release layer 15 protrudes outwardly relative to the second edge 112 of the first release layer 11 and the second end portion 132 of the adhesive body 13, and since the release force of the second release layer 15 relative to the adhesive body 13 can be optionally less than the release force of the first release layer 13 relative to the adhesive body 13, when a user needs to use the double-sided adhesive film 1 of the present utility model, the user could easily and intuitively firstly tear off the second release layer 15 from the adhesive body 13 and the first release layer 11 at the second end portion 152 of the second release layer 15, and then apply a side of the adhesive body 13 facing the second release layer 15 to a first object to be bonded, such as a cooler filter screen. Then, since the first edge 111 of the first release layer 11 protrudes outwardly relative to the first end portion 131 of the adhesive body 13, the user could easily tear off the first release layer 11 from the adhesive body 13, such that a side of the adhesive body 13 facing the first release layer 11 is exposed and can be applied to a second object to be bonded such as a cooler frame, thereby combining the first object to be bonded with the second object to be bonded by means of the adhesive body 13.

In order to avoid user confusion about a tearing sequence of the first and second release layers 11 and 15, a first tear-off mark (not shown in the figure) can be optionally printed on the second release layer 15. The first tear-off mark may be a note description of sequence in the form of text or number, or may be a color combined with a text description thereon, which is not limited thereto, and is used to indicate to the user to tear off the second release layer first. Similarly, a second tear-off mark (not shown in the figure) can be optionally provided on the first release layer 11. The first tear-off mark and the second tear-off mark may respectively be present on the second release layer 15 and the first release layer 11. Certainly, the second tear-off mark may also be a description of sequence in the form of text, number, or a color combined with a text description thereon, or the like. In some embodiments, merely a first tear-off mark may be provided on the second release layer 15, and a second tear-off mark on the first release layer 11 may be omitted. Alternatively, in another embodiment, merely a second tear-off mark may be provided on the first release layer 11, and a first tear-off mark on the second release layer 15 may be omitted.

Referring to FIG. 2, FIG. 2 is a schematic diagram of a double-sided adhesive film according to another embodiment of the present utility model. As shown in FIG. 2, the double-sided adhesive film 2 according to this embodiment also includes a first release layer 21, a second release layer 25, and an adhesive body 23, and the positions and configurations thereof are similar to those in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 of the present utility model. In addition, the first release layer 21 and the second release layer 25 also respectively include first edges 211 and 251 and second edges 212 and 252. The adhesive body 23 also includes a first end portion 231 and a second end portion 232. A mutual positional relationship between the first edges 211 and 251 and the first end portion 231 and a mutual positional relationship between the second edges 212 and 252 and the second end portion 232 are also similar to those in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, and therefore are not repeated herein.

Different from the above embodiment, the adhesive body 23 according to this embodiment further includes a substrate 235, and two opposite sides of the substrate 235 are coated with adhesive agents 233 and 234. In some embodiments, the substrate 235 may be paper, a non-woven fabric, a foam substrate, or a plastic film, which is not limited thereto. In addition, the adhesive agents 233 and 234 may be acrylic adhesives or other solvent adhesive agents, hot-melt adhesive agents, calendered adhesive agents, reactive adhesive agents, or the like, which is also not limited thereto. Referring to FIG. 3, FIG. 3 is a schematic perspective view of the structure of a double-sided adhesive film according to a third embodiment of the present utility model. As shown in FIG. 3, the double-sided adhesive film 3 according to this embodiment is substantially similar to that in the embodiment shown in FIG. 1. However, in this embodiment, two comers of a second edge 312 of a first release layer 31 are rounded comers 316 and 317, and two comers of a second end portion 332 of an adhesive body 33 are also rounded comers 336 (the other rounded comer is not shown in the figure). This can further prevent the user from accidentally removing the first release layer 31 away when tearing off the second release layer 35 first, causing the adhesive body 33 lacking support. Certainly, in certain embodiments, the second edge 312 of the first release layer 31 and the second end portion 332 of the adhesive body 33 may each include merely one rounded comer.

Referring to FIG. 4A in conjunction with FIG. 4B, FIG. 4A is a schematic perspective view of the structure of a double-sided adhesive film according to an embodiment of the present utility model, and FIG. 4B is a top view taken in the a-a’ direction of FIG. 4A. As shown in FIGs. 4A and 4B, a relationship between a first release layer 41, an adhesive body 43, and a second release layer 45 thereof is substantially similar to that of the first embodiment of the present utility model. However, in this embodiment, the width of a second end portion 432 of the adhesive body 43 and the width of a second edge 412 of the first release layer 41 are both W2, and width W2 is greater than width W1 of a first end portion 431 of the adhesive body 43, that is, W2 is greater than W 1. This can also avoid the problem in which the user accidentally tears off the first release layer 41 when tearing off the second release layer 45, causing the adhesive body 43 lacking support, and this also allows the user to easily tear off the first release layer 41 from a first edge 411 of the first release layer 41 after the adhesive body 43 is adhered to an object to be bonded (such as a cooler filter screen).

In addition, the first end portion and the second end portion of the adhesive body of FIGs. 4A and 4B of the present utility model are designed to have different widths. This design can also be combined with the rounded comer shown in FIG. 3 of the present utility model so as to ensure that the user does not accidentally remove the first release layer away when tearing off the second release layer. Certainly, other variations may also be made to the present utility model, and the variations are not merely limited to the protruding design of the adhesive body 43 in FIG. 4B. For example, as shown in FIG. 4C and FIG. 4D, the width of the second end portion of the adhesive body is also equal to the width of the second edge of the first release layer. However, the width of the second end portion of the adhesive body is greater than the width of the first end portion of the adhesive body. In other words, the adhesive body may be tapered or bullet-shaped. Designs in which the width of the first end portion is less than the width of the second end portion but the width of the second end portion is equal to the width of the second edge of the first release layer can all be applied to the present utility model, so as to prevent the user from accidentally removing the first release layer away when tearing off the second release layer, and also allow the user to easily tear off, after applying the adhesive body 43 to an object to be bonded (such as a cooler filter screen), the first release layer 41 by means of the first edge 411 protruding outwardly relative to an edge of the first end portion 431 of the adhesive body 43.

It can be seen from the above description that both sides of the double-sided adhesive film according to the present utility model include a release layer. At one end, two release layers are aligned with each other, and the adhesive body is recessed inwardly relative thereto, while at the other end, one of the release layers protrudes outwardly relative to the adhesive body and the other release layer such that the user can separate the same from the adhesive body and the other release layer by means of the extending and protruding release layer. Since the adhesive body is still adhered to the other release layer at this time, the user can hold the release layer when applying the adhesive body so as to avoid soiling the adhesive body and therefore affecting the adhesiveness thereof. After the application of the adhesive body, since the remaining release layer protrudes outwardly relative to the adhesive body, the user can tear off the release layer relative to the adhesive body by means of this protruding portion to expose the other adhesive surface of the adhesive body so that the same can be further adhered to the object to be bonded.

The present utility model further provides a cooler filter screen assembly. The cooler filter screen assembly includes a non-woven filter screen and the double-sided adhesive film according to any one of the embodiments described above. Certainly, the double-sided adhesive film according to the present utility model is also applicable to other items (such as a gift bag, and the like) that need adhesion, and has a broad utilization. The double-sided adhesive film according to the present utility model can use a kiss cut process. However, the present utility model is not limited to this process, and any manufacturing method capable of manufacturing the double-sided adhesive film according to the present utility model is applicable to the present utility model. All equivalent variations or modifications disclosed according to the spirit of the present utility model should still fall within the scope of the present utility model. The above embodiments of the present utility model are mainly intended to illustrate the features of the present utility model so as to allow those skilled in the art to easily understand the content so that those skilled in the art can implement the present utility model, but are not intended to limit the scope of protection of the present utility model.
