Abstract:
The present invention is a double-walled tank (10) for a generator set (8) including an integral mounting assembly (84). The tank is formed of an outer basin (14) having an open top, a bottom wall (15) and a number of side walls (16,18,19) that define an interior (22) within the basin (14) and form the exterior of the tank (10). An enclosed inner member (12) having a top panel (64), a bottom panel (48) and a number of side walls (54,56,58,60) connecting the top (64) and bottom panels (48) is attached within the interior (22) having a top panel (64), a bottom panel (48) and a number of side walls (54, 56, 58, 60) connecting the top (64) and bottom panels (48) is attached within the interior (22) of the basin (14) and provides a double-walled construction that serves to retain fuel within the tank (10) when the external walls of the tank are damaged. An integral mounting assembly (84) is attached to and extends across the bassin (14) over the inner member (22) between the side walls (16) of the basin (14) and is configured to receive and support a generator (aab), engine (11a), and radiator (11c) to form a complete generator set (8).
