Title:
DOWNWIND-TYPE WIND POWER GENERATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING DOWNWIND-TYPE WIND POWER GENERATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/009943
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are a downwind-type wind power generation system and a method for controlling said system, whereby deviation between the wind direction and the orientation of the axis of rotation of a rotor can be reduced with a comparatively simple configuration, and power generation efficiency is high. The downwind-type wind power generation system is characterized by comprising a rotor that is rotated by wind, a nacelle that rotatably bears the rotor, a tower that supports the nacelle so as to allow yawing, and a buffer device that mitigates the yawing action of the nacelle, the rotor being positioned downwind of the nacelle during power-generating operation.
