Title:
DOZING DRIVER WARNING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1982/001168
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A dozing driver warning system which has a circuit (10) for detecting right or left steering angle variations and generates pulse signals in response to the steering angle variations, circuits (30, 40) for generating an alarm signal when the counted value reaches a set value, and a circuit (60) for generating reset signal for clearing the counted value when the difference between the pulse signals indicating the leftward steering angle variation and the pulse signals indicating the rightward steering angle variation exceed a predetermined value or when the leftward or rightward pulse signals exceed a predetermined number and are continuously being input. The reset signal generating circuit discriminates when the steering angle variation exceeds the set value regardless of the normal drive state when driving along a curved road to generate a reset signal which prevents the generation of the alarm signal. Erroneous operation of the warning system is prevented by the reset signal generating circuit.00
