Abstract:
Even when failure occurs in some of a plurality of heads, seal patterns can be drawn using other available heads instead of the inoperable heads in which the failure occurs. A drawing device for drawing seal patterns comprises first and second gantries that extend in a longitudinal direction and that are disposed in a transverse direction above a substrate on which a matrix of a plurality of display portions arranged in a grid pattern is formed and a plurality of heads formed in the first and second gantries in the longitudinal direction, and draws seal patterns on the display portions using a sealing agent simultaneously ejected from the heads by relatively moving the first and second gantries in the horizontal direction with respect to the substrate. The drawing device further comprises an alternative head assigning means that, when some of the heads become inoperable, assigns available heads instead of the inoperable heads for undrawn display portions on which seal patterns were to be drawn using the inoperable heads.
