Abstract:
Provided is a novel drawn cup type heat exchanger that reduces stress on a core portion. A tube element 2 is made from a pair of facing cup plates, and each cup plate 1 has a cup portion 7 which is provided at the end part thereof and in which a communication hole 8 for cooling water is formed on the top of the cup portion 7. A core portion 19 is configured by stacking a plurality of these tube elements 2, and the core portion 19 is housed inside a casing configured by a box-shaped casing body 18 and a cover 13 to seal the opening 20 of the casing body. The drawn cup type heat exchanger in which the top edge in the stacking direction of the core portion 19 is fixed to the cover 13 is characterized in that a step portion 9 for reducing stress generated on the cup portion 7 is formed on the projecting circumferential surface 7a of the cup portion 7.
