Abstract:
A drilling tool (1) has mounted thereon a dust collecting device consisting of a suction fan unit (5), a cyclone type dust collecting vessel (6), and a dust collecting cup (7). A suction port (15) provided in the upper region of the outer peripheral surface of the cyclone type dust collecting vessel is directed tangentially of the outer peripheral surface, and an exhaust duct (14) droops from the middle of the top surface into the vessel. The suction air containing powder dusts whirls in the vessel, the powder dusts are centrifugally collected in the dust collecting vessel, and the air having powder dusts removed therefrom are discharged outside. Since dust collection is effected with no filter used, there is no occurrence of a drop in dust suction ability due to clogging of a filter and it is not required to do cleaning or replacement of such filter.
