Abstract:
A drive assist device is provided with: an image acquisition unit that acquires an image captured around a vehicle; a position information acquisition unit that acquires position information of a first object detected around the vehicle by a sensor; a detection range determination unit that determines a detection range for the first object in the captured image on the basis of the position information of the first object; and an object recognition unit that recognizes a second object different from the first object by performing image processing with respect to an image in a range in the captured image other than the detection range for the first object. Accordingly, the processing time for recognizing the second object from the captured image can be decreased.
