Abstract:
Provided is a drive control device with which it is possible to easily promote the reduction in size of an ultrasonic motor element. The drive control device 2 applies signals having mutually differing phases to a plurality of electrodes provided to a piezoelectric element on a drive body 4, thereby vibrating the drive body 4, said drive control device 2 comprising: a signal application unit 17 that selectively applies a signal to some of the electrodes among the plurality of electrodes; an amplitude detection unit 15 (feedback signal reception unit) that receives a feedback signal from an electrode, among the plurality of electrodes, other than the electrodes to which the signal application unit 17 selectively applied the signal; and a signal condition control unit 16 that controls, on the basis of the feedback signal, the signal conditions under which the signal application unit 17 applies the signal.
