Abstract:
Provided is a drive control device that is capable of suppressing instability in the behavior of a vehicle due to a difference in the output torque of left and right drive wheels, and that can prevent the application of an excessive load to a power device. This drive control device is applied to a vehicle in which a plurality of motors (6) capable of carrying out independent left-right driving are installed. A motor drive control device (22) is provided with: a maximum torque calculation unit (35) for calculating a value for the maximum torque that can be output using the rotation speed of the motors (6); and a torque-limiting unit (36) for using the calculated maximum torque value to limit the torque of the motors (6). When the vehicle speed is less than or equal to a predetermined value, the maximum torque calculation unit (35) calculates a value for the maximum torque that can be output respectively from the respective rotation speeds of left and right motors (6). When the vehicle speed is higher than the predetermined value, the higher rotation speed among the rotation speeds respectively calculated for the left and right motors (6) is used to calculate a common maximum torque value for the left and right wheels.
